stability of continuous casting process of steel at all casting speed.
The main function of Casting Powder is to facilitate the passage of
liquid steel through the mould of the Continuous Casting Machine. It is
sprayed on top of hot metal in mould region, it gets melt at definite rate
and forms a molten glass slag. This layer forms a thin film or layer
between the Mould and Strand. This layer provides lubrication.
